Plein Air Paint Out

A Plein Air event involves artists setting up with their easels and painting scenes from anywhere in the Park. Wander to Memorial Lawn, the Grist Mill, the Harold Cox Nature Garden, and other locations to see the work. The artists welcome people coming by to talk with them. To register to paint yourself or find out information about the evening reception where you can view all the artwork, get a flyer at Stone Mountain Plein Air. Pre-registration not needed. All ages are welcome. You must pay the Park entrance fee or have a yearly parking sticker.

• Doors open, continental breakfast starts at 7:30
• Open to all artists, age 18 and older
• Free box lunch to first 50 artists with paid registration
• Participating artists receive admission to Stone Mountain Park
• Exhibit and reception will be in the main gallery at ART Station
• Awards: $500 first prize; $300 second prize: and, $200 third prize
• Purchase awards totaling more than $1000 have been pledged so far
• Workshop and exclusive reception planned for Friday before event
• Lodging is available nearby at discounted rates (call for details)
