For the 2006-2007 school year all of our programs and school events will be offered to school groups free of charge. We are able to provide these programs because SMMA is financially self-sufficient. All Park operations, maintenance and capital improvements are funded through lease and miscellaneous revenues. The programs complement the Georgia science and social studies QCCs or GPS and the North American Association for Environmental Education Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education. We provide onsite programs, outreach programs for nearby schools, scout programs, and two school festivals throughout the year. Most programs begin at the Confederate Hall Education Center, located at the bottom of the Stone Mountain Walk-up Trail, but explore numerous locations throughout Stone Mountain Park. Private and public school buses are admitted to Stone Mountain Park for free! Please contact our Education staff for additional information, brochures or scheduling. 770-498-5658 Email: Stone Mountain Education Programs
