July                                                                                                                                                                                   Now blooming on the mountain and granite outcrops: Sundrops, Pineweed,  Dayflower, Granite Coreopsis and Rock Outcrop Milkwort.  Later in the month, look for some early Blazing Star and Stone Mountain Yellow Daisy.

In the woodlands: Morning Glory, Beautyberry, Woodland Sunflower and Foxglove.

Look for young reptiles while hiking along park trails- turtles, toads and lizards as well as White-tail Deer fawns. Its a great time to see fledgling birds and many butterflies! Look out for the granite Grasshopper this time of year too!
