Boating
At 323 acres, the largest body of water in Stone Mountain Park is Stone Mountain Lake. Boaters can access the lake by boat ramp located on the southern end of the lake near the dam and Evergreen Hotel. Fishing is a common activity on both Stone Mountain Lake and the smaller Venable Lake which in inaccessible by boat.
The lake attracts a diverse collection of boating enthusiast including canoers, kayakers, crew teams, fishing boats, SUP’ers, and the occasional sailor.
NOTE: Boating is only allowed in Stone Mountain Lake and swimming is prohibited in all Stone Mountain Park waters. Use of motors over 10hp is prohibited on Stone Mountain Lake.
