The Confederate Hall Historical and Environmental Education Center educates park guests and local students about the fascinating geology, ecology and history of Stone Mountain and its surrounding area.
The building has been open to park guests since March 22, 2004. The facility houses interactive science exhibits, classrooms, and a small theater showing historical documentaries about the Civil War and creation of the confederate memorial carving. The building also houses the offices for education and administrative staff.
Confederate Hall can be visited at no cost other than park entrance fee. Our building is located at the beginning of the Walk-Up Trail just inside of the park’s west gate entrance.
Note: The Battle for Georgia can be viewed on the half-hour and The Men Who Carved the Mountain can be viewed twice on the hour and 15th minute.
