The Environmental Education Center educates park guests and local students about the fascinating geology, ecology and the formation of Stone Mountain and its surrounding area.

The building has been open to park guests since March 22, 2004. The facility houses interactive science exhibits. The building also houses the offices for SMMA administrative staff.

The Environmental Education Center can be visited at no cost other than the park’s parking fee. Our building is located at the beginning of the Walk-Up Trail just inside of the park’s west gate entrance.
